Shalondra Gurley is a radiant force of advocacy and empowerment from Birmingham, Alabama. A devoted mother to a gifted autistic and ADHD son and a talented, courageous daughter, Shalondra is a passionate educator with over a decade of experience spanning Birmingham City Schools, Fairfield City Schools, Dekalb County Schools, and Atlanta Public Schools. As a Reading Endorsed Educator and Educational Consultant, she is committed to fostering inclusive learning environments where all students can thrive.

Shalondra is the CEO and Founder of Autism GLOWS, LLC., an organization dedicated to empowering parents and educators to become the M.O.D.E.L. for their children. Through Autism GLOWS, she provides essential resources and strategies to support neurodivergent learners in achieving success both in school and in life. Her journey into advocacy was deeply personal, inspired by her own experiences as a mother navigating autism and ADHD.

Her passion for education extends beyond traditional classrooms. Shalondra developed the Sweet S.T.E.A.M. Enrichment Program through her baking business, integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics with culinary skills to engage and equip young learners in innovative ways. She is also the author of the children’s book, Organizing My School Bag, further demonstrating her dedication to educational empowerment.

At the heart of her work is the acronym M.O.D.E.L., which stands for Motivate, Organize, Differentiate, Empower, and Lead. By embodying these principles, Shalondra intentionally fosters inclusive spaces that celebrate the uniqueness of each child. She believes that every child has the potential to GLOW when provided with the right environment, support, and resources. Her mission remains clear—ensuring that all children, regardless of ability or background, have the opportunity to succeed and shine.
