For too long, the world has told Black women to carry the weight of everyone else while silencing their own needs. Between systemic racism, sexism, economic pressures, and the emotional labor of caregiving, the demand to remain “strong” often leaves little room to simply be human. But the truth is clear: tending to your mental health is not weakness; it’s survival, resistance, and radical love.

That’s the heart behind the My MIND is Fine Women’s Mindset Mastery Conference, happening Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 12 PM – 4 PM CDT at the Hilton Chicago / Oak Lawn, Illinois.

Created to serve as a safe, empowering space, this conference is designed to help Black women shift, heal, and elevate their mindset. Attendees will walk away with practical tools to nurture mental wellness and emotional resilience, alongside the restorative power of community.

At the helm is Jalinia Logan, MSW, LCSW, CCATP, LPN — a licensed psychotherapist, guidance counselor, entrepreneur, and mental health advocate. As the founder and CEO of her wellness and counseling practice, Logan has guided countless women in reclaiming their emotional well-being, building healthy coping strategies, and stepping into confidence. Through My MIND is Fine, she has expanded that mission nationally, blending therapeutic expertise with empowerment workshops, mentorship, and actionable guidance.

“Taking care of your mind is an act of resistance and of love,” Logan reminds us.

Why This Space Matters

Mental health challenges such as depression and anxiety disproportionately affect Black women, yet cultural stigma and the “Strong Black Woman” narrative often discourage seeking support. Add to that workplace inequities, systemic discrimination, and chronic stress from caregiving — the toll is undeniable. Conferences like My MIND is Fine not only break the silence but also create pathways to healing and thriving.
