Atlanta, GA – June 29, 2025 — In a city that never stops moving, PowerTalk 2025: The Interactive Grief Panel made time stand still. Held at The Studio House, the event welcomed guests onto a purple carpet ,not just a photo op, but a symbolic invitation to step into a sacred space of healing. For many, it became more than just a gathering. It was a mirror, a megaphone, and a ministry.

With light bites, signature drinks, and soft lighting setting the scene, guests entered into a space intentionally designed to feel safe. It wasn’t just about grief—it was about what happens when we stop hiding it. From the very beginning, PowerTalk 2025 made it clear: vulnerability was not only welcomed, it was the goal.
From the Bloom Bar to the painting session, this event was designed to heal your inner soul. Grief is not something we talk about often—we're expected to just move on and act like that person never existed. Society tells us to stop “acting out” and return to normal, even when our hearts are anything but.
The paint session was especially intentional—each color represented something different, and the symbolism really made me pause. It ended up being the highlight of the night for me. I even got paint on my clothes from diving into the exercise, but I didn’t mind at all. It reminded me to be fully present.
This time, I made a conscious decision to be a participant, not just a journalist. Usually, I miss the heart of the event because I’m focused on interviews and media coverage. But this time, I allowed myself to slow down, breathe, and feel it. And that made all the difference.

Moderated by the poised and powerful Aubri Ebony Williams, the conversation flowed with grace and truth. Each panelist brought a unique and heartfelt perspective:
Dr. Alvin Glay, a Liberian refugee and research associate, opened up about layered grief and survival.
Henry Mason Jr., founder of a hospice, explored how death and dignity go hand in hand.
Millicent St. Claire, a master coach and trainer, taught us how mindset impacts how we grieve.
Monique Davis, a retirement strategist, showed how financial preparedness ties into emotional wellness.
Sophy Thomas, founder of the Shining Light Foundation, bridged philanthropy and purpose.

Together, they reminded us that grief is not something to conquer—it’s something to carry, carefully and communally.
Among the most impactful moments was the Death Planning Panel—a conversation rarely had before the loss happens.
“I loved the death planning panel. That was a panel that was needed before the pain. Most of the time people don’t think of death and nor do they plan for it. It made me think of my cousin who passed years ago, and it was not fun looking for documents to find if she had insurance.”

The honesty of that reflection was echoed by others in the room. Planning for death isn’t morbid—it’s a loving act. One that can ease the burden on grieving families and offer peace in place of panic. That panel shifted mindsets and planted seeds of intentional preparation.
As the night deepened, so did the conversations. Attendees took part in a live Q&A, asking hard, unfiltered questions—and the panel responded with real, raw honesty. Tears flowed. Heads nodded. Spirits exhaled.
This portion of the evening revealed something deeper: PowerTalk was more than a panel—it was a tribute. A deeply personal offering from the founder to her late mother. Through every spoken word and silent moment, the event honored a legacy of love and resilience.
It wasn’t about fixing grief—it was about facing it. Together.

With breakout sessions that encouraged connection, VIP experiences that added lightness to the depth, and a crowd of people willing to show up fully, PowerTalk 2025 gave Atlanta something rare: space. Space to feel. Space to be seen. Space to heal.
For readers navigating loss—or simply curious about what healing can look like—PowerTalk 2025 served as a powerful reminder: grief shared is grief lightened. It reminded us that death deserves conversation, not avoidance. That preparing for it doesn’t take away the pain, but it can soften the chaos. And most of all, that community isn’t just a word—it’s a lifeline.
