She doesn’t know this article exists.
And maybe that’s what makes it even more beautiful — because true impact rarely announces itself.
While some survivors celebrate their return to “normal,” Reign Stevens quietly carries a truth few are brave enough to speak. Her story isn’t one of instant victory or neat endings. It’s the story of a woman who keeps choosing faith, even when her body feels too heavy to hold it.
On April 30, 2018, at 11:39 AM, Reign’s world shifted with four words: “You have breast cancer.”
It was stage two, HER2 positive, in her left breast. Doctors were hopeful. They told her treatment would take nine months — and then life would go back to normal. But seven years later, Reign is living proof that “normal” after cancer doesn’t exist.
“This disease changed everything,” she’s shared before. “I wake up in pain every day. My body doesn’t feel like my own anymore.”
Today, she battles chronic pain, neuropathy, and fatigue that never fully fades. Nights bring restless sleep; mornings bring joint pain that stretches from her waist to her feet. What used to be laughter and social gatherings has turned into quiet days spent managing both physical pain and emotional isolation.
“Before cancer, I was a social butterfly,” she once said. “Now I’m a wallflower. I spend 80% of my time in bed, suffering mentally and physically.”
Still, in that stillness, something remarkable was born — purpose.
After three years of wrestling with acceptance, Reign made peace with her new reality. And from that peace, she built something extraordinary: Reign Over Cancer, Inc.
Her nonprofit is not about survival — it’s about what comes after. It’s for those who are, as she says, “living longer, yet not stronger.” The organization advocates for survivors who are grateful to be alive but still fighting to thrive.
Working alongside hospitals, community organizations, legislators, and grassroots advocates, Reign Over Cancer, Inc. raises awareness about post-cancer life — the part of the journey that often goes unseen.
“Everyone celebrates when you ring that bell,” she once explained. “But what happens when the noise fades and the pain remains? That’s the part of the story no one prepares you for.”
Through her advocacy, Reign speaks for the muted — for those still healing and for those who can’t yet say out loud that survival doesn’t always feel like living.
Despite the pain, she stands tall. Not because she feels strong every day, but because she understands her voice carries strength for others. Her honesty has already sparked healing giving survivors permission to talk about post-cancer depression, pain, and the quiet fight to feel whole again.
She may not know this article exists, but at Auesomely You Magazine, we couldn’t stay silent.
This article is written in honor of Reign Stevens and her incredible work through Reign Over Cancer, Inc. — a testament to her resilience, her advocacy, and her unshakable faith.
Reign embodies everything we stand for — resilience, honesty, and the courage to speak light into dark places. Her story reminds us that faith doesn’t always roar; sometimes it whispers, keep going.
And through her pain, her faith, and her unwavering compassion, Reign continues to do just that — she Reigns. Over Cancer. And Over Fear.
