When Black women gather, something divine happens. The energy shifts. The atmosphere softens. Laughter heals what life tried to break. That’s exactly what unfolded at BET Presents We Got You Sis — a one-of-a-kind wellness experience celebrating sisterhood, joy, and collective healing.
Hosted by LeToya Luckett, this empowering in-person event featured a lineup of dynamic women, each sharing transparent truths about what it means to balance purpose, pain, and power in today’s world. Through fireside chats, storytelling, and open dialogue, the women on stage reminded every sister in the room: we’re in this together.

“I’m Not Available for Anxiety, Failure, or Fear”
One of the afternoon’s most powerful speakers took the mic and set the tone for what it means to reclaim your life with intention.
“I am not available for anxiety. I am not available for failure. I am not available to not be my best self right now. And what am I available for? I’m available for joy. I’m available for money. I’m available for all the yeses. I’m available for love, passion, and all the good things.”

The audience erupted in cheers. It was the kind of declaration that turned into a collective affirmation — a reminder that we get to choose what we make room for.
Half Holy, Half Hood — Whole and Healed
Another speaker brought the house down when she said with a smile:
“You’re going to get a little bit half holy, half hood from me — because both are needed.”

The crowd laughed, nodded, and clapped because every woman there understood: healing doesn’t have to look perfect. It can be soulful and spiritual, yet still real, raw, and a little bit “around the way.”
That honesty is exactly what makes We Got You Sis different. It’s not about polished perfection; it’s about safe spaces for truth.
Finding Power Through Clarity and Confidence
The conversation deepened as another speaker shared how she finds strength in stillness, humility, and clear decision-making.
“My power comes from clarity. Sometimes that comes through stillness. It also comes through choice. And my final step in that process — through clarity and choice — is confidence.”

Heads nodded across the room. That moment captured what the day was truly about: women reclaiming their confidence through community and choice, not competition or comparison.

“Girl, you did this, this, and this. What are you talking about? You’re your own worst critic,” she said, echoing what so many women needed to hear — that self-doubt doesn’t belong to us anymore.

A Space to Be Seen, Heard, and Celebrated
Throughout the event, the message was clear: We Got You Sis is more than a title — it’s a promise.
“This salon is for you, and this is for us,” one speaker said. “So as we go through this day, do not be afraid to laugh. Don’t be afraid to feel full again.”

Between the laughter, tears, and sisterly hugs, the message of the day was one of belonging, grace, and mutual accountability.
Women weren’t just listening — they were being reminded that they deserve to rest, receive, and rejoice.

Why This Event Matters
In a world that often expects Black women to be strong without support, BET Presents We Got You Sis was a breath of fresh air. It was a collective exhale — an invitation to pause, to laugh, and to realign.
Hosted by LeToya Luckett and powered by a circle of women who lead with faith and authenticity, the event celebrated what happens when women show up for themselves and each other.

Because when we remind one another that joy, peace, and abundance are available — we create a culture of healing that reaches beyond the room.
